Summer Symposium 2026

SUMMER SYMPOSIUM ON FOREIGN POLICY 2026
AUGUST 2-13, 2026

The Osgood Center’s Summer Symposium on Foreign Policy is reaching its 46th iteration honoring its fundamental commitment: to deliver a comprehensive analysis of international politics, global political economy, and rapidly evolving foreign affairs. The program will leverage the expertise of high caliber guest speakers and veteran collaborators who have shaped policy globally. Participants will gain a sophisticated understanding of international relations while unlocking critical insights departing from a vital and urgent question: Will 2026 wars change the world order?

Start your experience at the peak of geopolitical discourse with an exclusive opening lecture at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with Dr. Trita Parsi, the Executive of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, as the keynote speaker which will guarantee you an unmatched start to the program, placing you in the room with one of today’s most influential and sharpest minds in foreign policy.

You should not miss the opportunity to join this hybrid program in 2026. In-person sessions will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University. Online participants can hear directly from and interact with active foreign specialists, researchers, leading journalists, academic leaders, intelligence officers, and influential think tanks from Brookings Institution, the Stimson Center via ZOOM. Participants will also visit key embassies and cultural landmarks.

The Osgood Center expects attendees from Germany, the U.S., and China. Admission is on a rolling basis, but each participant is asked to complete a registration form and pay in advance.
