Rising China 2011
Depart US, January 1, 2011 Please join us in a three-week exploration of China’s Major cities – Beijing, Xi’an and Guangzhou. The program will begin in Beijing, with a visit to Beijing Mandarin Institute and tours of the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and more. During the second week, the participants will be hosted by the Northwestern Politechnical University (NPU) in one of the most ancient cities, and one of the former capitals of China – Xi’an, which is also the host of the Terra Cotta Warriors. The week in Xi’an will feature tour of the NPU, welcome reception/mixer with the students and faculty and tours of the Xi’an City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Terra Cotta Warriors.
US-China Relations Symposium Week three will feature the annual US-China Relations Symposium in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Participants from the U.S. and China will come together to address China's economy, politics and foreign policy with the help of scholars, diplomats, analysts and business leaders from both countries. The program will conclude with Sun Yat-sen Museum visit, and a cruise and dinner on the Pearl River.
