Student NPT Review Conference - March 18-21, 2010
The Student NPT Review Conference is the Osgood Center's inaugural Arms Control Conference. Students will have the opportunity to simulate the 2010 NPT Review Conference two months before it convenes. In addition to Committee resolutions, there will be a Conference Final Statement written by a Drafting Committee of students selected at the conference. The Department of State's Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation will make these documents available to the US Delegation to the 2010 Nonproliferation Treaty.

US-China Relations - July 5-15, 2010
The Osgood Center for International Studies, in conjunction with the Center for International Security and Strategy Studies will host a 10-day conference on Sino-American Relations in heart of Washington, DC. The conference will feature lectures by Osgood Center fellows and Chinese scholars on US-China Relations from prestigious universities from Beijing, Honk Kong, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

International Business Conference - July 18-29, 2010
The International Business Conference (IBC) is a ten-day exploration of the international political economy. Participants will visit leading international institutions in Washington, DC such as the World Bank, the IMF, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the leading Congressional Committees on trade and international economics. They will address issues in international economics such as the international financial crisis, creeping protectionism, the rise of China and India, and the persistence of poverty in a globalized world.

Summer Symposium on Foreign Policy - August 1-12, 2010
A two-week course in August, during which students will meet with top level government officials, members of the press, experts from prestigious think tanks such as the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the American Enterprise Institute, and the Brookings Institution to discuss and debate contemporary foreign policy issues.

Invitational Model United Nations for High School Students - August 20-22, 2010
Model United Nations is a simulation of the real United Nations.  School teams are assigned to different countries with teams of students representing different UN committees.

National Model United Nations-DC - October 29-31, 2010

Rising China 2011 - A three-week exploration of China’s Major cities – Beijing, Xi’an and Guangzhou. The program will begin in Beijing, with a visit to Beijing Mandarin Institute and tours of the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and more.

The Professional Development Program

Participation is an Osgood Professional Development Program is an exciting way to build skills, gain perspectives, and explore potential career options.  The Osgood Center offers Professional Development Programs at the Center and with various other organizations in Washington, DC.

We also create programs specifically tailored to special regional interests (i.e. the Middle East, Central Asia, East Europe), or to a particular cause such as human rights. etc.  We have recently offered designed programs for the University of Tokyo Graduate Program in Public Policy,  Johns Hopkins SAIS, and the Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xian, China.

NOTE:  The Osgood Center presents affordable programs for all.  Fees, housing, and incidental charges are set to allow wide participation.  Our policies regarding fees are thus: application fees are not refundable; program fees are due in full prior to the event and are not refundable after the due date. Housing fees, while optional, are due in full prior to the event and are not refundable after the due date.

Students must sign waivers upon arriving for Osgood events and must provide own medical and health insurance.
